Why Lily's
A real person picks your tutor. Then a real tutor teaches your kid.
No algorithm match. No revolving door of contractors. We meet your student where they are, academically and otherwise, and pair them with someone who fits.
Human matching. A founder reviews every intake. You'll know your tutor's name, background, and approach before session one.
Tutors with degrees. Every tutor is vetted for subject expertise and selected for how they explain, not just what they know.
Hacking Your Potential. Our executive functioning track teaches planning, focus, and follow-through the invisible curriculum.
Progress you can see. Weekly notes after every session. Monthly check-ins with parents. You're always in the loop.

Common Questions
Everything parents ask about tutoring services on the first call.
What ages and grade levels do you tutor?
We work with students from 6th grade through college. Most of our families come to us in middle and high school, but we have tutors who specialize in college-level math, physics, and writing for academic success.
How much do sessions cost?
Sessions run $75–$125 per hour depending on the subject and tutor experience level. Rates are transparent so you'll know exactly what you're paying before you start, and there are no packages to buy upfront.
Are sessions virtual or in-person?
We offer both in-person tutoring and high-quality virtual sessions. During onboarding we'll determine which option will work best with your child and our tutor's.
How do you match tutors to students?
Lily reviews every intake and hand-picks a tutor based on subject, grade level, learning style, and personality fit. If the first match isn't right, we re-match at no cost.
What is "Hacking Your Potential"?
It's our executive functioning track for students who are smart but disorganized — the kids who lose assignments, study the wrong things, or spiral the night before a test. We teach planning, time management, and self-advocacy alongside (or instead of) subject tutoring.
How quickly can we start?
Most families have their first session within 5–7 days of the initial consult. If you're facing a midterm or test next week, tell us and we'll do our best to expedite the process. This is all subject to tutor availability of course.
Do you prep for the SAT, ACT, and APs?
Yes, SAT prep is one of our most-requested services, and we also support ACT, AP Calc AB/BC, AP Physics 1/C, AP Lang, and AP Lit. Score-targeted plans, full-length proctored practice tests, and review built around your student's specific gaps.
How often do students meet with their tutor?
Most students meet weekly for 60 or 90 minutes. Some bump up to twice a week before a big test or during a tough unit. We'll recommend a cadence after the first session and adjust as needed.
What if it's not working out?
Tell us. We'd rather re-match than have a student stuck with the wrong tutor. There's no contract, you pay session-by-session, and you can pause or stop anytime.
