"Lily is a great tutor! Extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind as well as flexible with scheduling. She helped my son with some last minute tutoring to help him pass his 9th grade Algebra class. She worked with us to find times that fit into our schedule and when she was working with my son she explained things clearly and put together excellent notes for him to refer to when needed. He enjoyed working with her. We plan to continue to work with Lily throughout my son’s academic career."
"Lily did an amazing job of meeting my son where he was and getting him where he needed to be. She’s positive but realistic, talks a lot about the “why” and intrinsic motivation, and uses humor to keep even the most frustrating subjects lighthearted!"
"My son’s SAT score went up 70 points by using Lily’s strategies. We highly recommend her tutoring services."
A real person picks your tutor. Then a real tutor sticks with your kid.
We help your child with algorithms but don't use them to find a tutor match. We meet your student where they are, academically and otherwise, and pair them with someone who fits, the same tutor every week.
- Human matching. Every intake is personally reviewed by Lily. You'll know your tutor's name, background, and approach before session one.
- Vetted subject experts. Every tutor is picked as much for the tutoring as for the transcript. More than 50 students have come through on that standard.
- Hacking Your Potential. Our executive functioning track builds the invisible curriculum behind good grades.
- Simple to start. Book a single session, pay as you go, and stop whenever you need to.
She is personable and makes difficult concepts easy to understand.
What changes when students get the right tutoring assistance.
Every learner is different. Some students need someone to help rebuild foundational skills in math.
Others need confidence and a plan to get through a tough semester, when teachers move fast and exams stack up.
And plenty just need a tutor who explains things more clearly than a classroom teacher ever had time to.

What ages and grade levels do you tutor?
We work with students from 6th grade through college. Most of our families come to us in middle and high school, but we have tutors who specialize in college-level math, physics, and writing. We also take inquiries for elementary math and other ages by request, so if your student is younger, just ask.
How much do sessions cost?
Most families pay between $75 and $145 an hour, depending on the subject and the tutor. You'll hear your exact rate on the consult call before anything gets scheduled, and the pricing page breaks down every tier.
Are sessions virtual or in-person?
We offer both in-person tutoring and virtual sessions over Zoom. During the consult we'll figure out which option works best for your child and our tutors.
Do you offer in-home tutoring in Maryland?
Yes. Our tutors provide in-person tutoring at your home or a nearby location across Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Howard County, subject to tutor schedules and availability. Online tutoring is available for students anywhere in Maryland or nationwide.
How do you match tutors to students?
Lily reads every intake herself and makes each match personally, and our tutors page walks through exactly how she chooses.
What is "Hacking Your Potential"?
It's our executive functioning track for students who are smart but disorganized, the kids who lose assignments, study the wrong things, or spiral the night before a test. We coach planning, time management, and self-advocacy alongside (or instead of) subject tutoring.
Do you tutor college students at UMD or other universities?
Yes. We tutor college students across Maryland campuses, including the University of Maryland. Calculus, statistics, physics, writing for required courses across majors: our tutors have the depth to handle all of it.
How quickly can we start?
Most families have their first appointment within 7 to 10 days of the initial consult. If you're facing a midterm or an exam next week, tell us and we'll do our best to speed the process up. This is all subject to tutor availability, of course.
Do you prep for the SAT, ACT, and APs?
We prep for the SAT and the AP math courses, but not the ACT. SAT prep is one of our most-requested tutoring services: the plan is built around your student's goals, with full-length practice tests and review focused on the gaps that cost points. On the AP side we support Calc AB and BC, AP Precalculus, and AP Statistics.
How often do students meet with their tutor?
Most students meet once a week, for one to two hours. Some bump up to twice a week when they're preparing for a big exam or working through a tough unit. We'll recommend a schedule after the first session and adjust as needed.
Do you offer group tutoring or study groups?
We focus on one-on-one tutoring because personalized attention gets better results than study groups for most learners. That said, reach out and we can discuss what format makes sense for your student's goals.
What if it's not working out?
Tell us. We'd rather re-match than have a student stuck with the wrong tutor. There's no contract, you pay session by session, and you can pause or stop anytime.
Let's get your student unstuck.
In person or online, we'll help you figure out the right next step.
